Default Ok, Having trouble with 17in wheels...

I just got another 94 civic coupe yesterday... And I've been looking for wheels for it. And I don't know if 16's would look too small on a coupe (being that the back end is larger than a hatch making the wheels look smaller) so I've been kinda looking at the 17 inch versions of the wheels which are the Rota boost and Rota torque. However, the 17 inch sizes are only offered in +45 offset and 7.5 inch width!?!?!? Basically, my question is, is my car going to rub with these wheels if I lower it 1.5 to 1.75 inches? Or am I wasting my time and should go with the 16's? I'm just worried they're not going to look large enough.

well, i'm running 17x7's, with a 40 mm offset, and i'm very close to rubbing the fender front and rear, i'd say with a 17x7.5 and 45 offset, you might have a slight chance in rubbing, if not, a great chance. i say just go for 16's and not worry about it, plus you can fit more rubber, have more comfort, and more performance.

+1 for the possible rubbing. I am running the 16x7's , and I wouldn't care to get any larger. 16's look fine for me, and with springs later they will fit perfectly imo.

I wouldn't get over a 40 offset with 7" width, there is surely a 17x7 out there that will fit wiht the right offset. Just keep looking.

I think you could fit 17's fine, but I think they look too big.

I sometimes think my 16's are even too big. I dunno. It's your call.
