ok i have been told mby the ppl on the 7thgen forum that I will need new struts if i lower the car because they may blow i want to know for sure if they will or not plus wil I see any different in handling if i got 1.4" drop

with only a 1.4" drop I don't think you'll blow the shocks anytime soon.

difference in handling? probably some... it will depend on the spring rates though. what springs are you looking at?
