Default Painting your brake calipers

when i change my pads and rotors soon I want to paint my calipers and drums. I don't want to hear rice this and rice that. I just want to know what paint to use and how to go best about doing it. I'll probably paint them red. i might do white, but i have a feeling they are going to be gard to keep clean, maybe I'll do it anyways it would look real nice. I've got some time to think about it. Anyways..... help??????

You should be able to find brake calipers paint at your local auto part store.

Don't paint them white, cause they'll be dirty in no time from the dust. Better to pick a darker color......red is good.

I agree about the white. Red would look much better IMO

Take a wire brush and clean off any loose paint or rust before you paint them.

I was going to take off the caliper completely and you know, sand it, and degrease it, and wirebursh it, and wire wheel it, and all that other good stuff. Should I primer it, and how many coats should I use? Any brand of paint in particular to use? Thanks!

EDIT: I'll probably do a DIY for it too!

I would recomend any paint that can withstand over 800-900 degrees.
If you drive like I do then go for 1200 degrees.

Primer is good......makes the paint stick.
