Question about painting rims
Hey, I'm new here, pretty cool site..
Anyway let's get to the point.

I plan on getting some new rims next summer but, I'd like to do this in the meantime.
How do I go about doing this? [&:]
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

RE: Question about painting rims
pretty simple actually.... more tedious than anything. tape, tape tape lol. you'll need to sand down the rims (i've always used 500 grit and it worked just fine) in every area to give the paint something to grab onto. make sure all the sand/dirt/debrit is gone before you start painting. you'll need to mask off your tire (i've always used newspaper to wrap the tire around the back) and spray. what kind of paint will you be using? since ur getting new wheels next year you can just get some decent rim paint from advanced along w/ some sealer/clear. we just did my buddies WRX gold and they came out amazing!!! good luck and let us know if you need anything else.
