Rear brakes noise on civic 2013 lx
 

Hi All, I noticed today a cracking noise coming from my car's rear when applying brake pedal while in park. I can only hear it if I push it slowly, actually the slower, the more noise it makes. Same thing with the handbrake. Same noise comes out if I steer the wheel when it's either on handbrake or I'm pushing the pedal. Same noise when I get out of the car with handbrake on. Any ideas on what could it be? Should I take it to dealership? It's a new civic with just 4k miles on it.

probably the return springs making noise this is common with drum brakes. you can try spraying brake cleaner then lubeing them up.
