Rear disc brake conversion

Rear disc brake conversion
I'm looking at doing a rear disc brake conversion on my 89 Hatch to replace the drums. I was wondering what parts I would need and from what car to do this swap. Also about how much would it cost and would I be able to do the swap myself.

RE: Rear disc brake conversion
the conversion its self (trialing arms, disks, calipers, LCA,ect) then you need the brake line and E-brake lines if it doesnt come with it, and you dont HAVE to but its good to go out and get a proportioning valve and master cylinder brake booster....idk about your year but for 92-95 civics you can get a 40/40 and i think a 5/16 mastercylinder.......and A LOT of de-ruster lol for the nasty LCA bolts

^ditto. I have yet to replace the P valve with the 4040 I have and it still brakes better than before. I suggest using an impact for the LCA bolts. Also, get everything you need and/or could need before you start!! HailChristian should know what you need for the 88-91 civic.
