rear disc problem

i just got a rear disc conversion from a 96 teg. only thing that was missing were the e-brake cables. i went to a junk yard and got a set from a 2000 teg. i got it all together and it seems the the teg e-brake cables are abuot an inch too short. i routed it just like it came off the teg and bolted the brackets all in like they were supposed to be. any ideas?

loosen the adjuster on the e-brake handle as far as you can and have it still connected, then see if it fits. i remember those were a pain, but dont remember the specifics.

i just had to eliminate one bracket in the middle of each cable and got the slack i needed. it still seems pretty secure

I did exactly he same (but just because I'm lazy) and now I'm getting some rattling against the exhaust heatshield...not too annoying, mine were a perfect fit though...they were from a '91 teggy

mine still have one bracket each near the exhaust heatsheild so im good there. i just eliminated the 1st one on the car after the trailing arm. my brakes are big pimpin now. i just cant wait for 3 more weeks when i get my 4 slotted/crossdrilled rotors, stainless brake hoses and my performance pads. car should stop on a dime then.

I'm gonna rock cheapo rotors and pads until spring...don't wanna crack a rotor in the snow...
