Rear wheel disc conversion
 

I've decided to do a real wheel disc conversion on my 95 dx sedan. The question is; Who sells a complete kit? If I get the parts from a junkyard, what will I need? I'm gonna have a full shop available to me in a couple of weeks, how long should it take? My car is a 95 civic dx sedan 5 speed with a d15b7 non abs . It's rear drum and front disc. Thanks!

im going to be working on my car today, and ill try to borrow a digi cam, if i can, ill take off my back wheel and take a pic to show you instead of trying to explain it.

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to figure out how to do it. What I am questioning is the use of different parts and their mounting.

if you have the entire rear suspension(trailing arms, you dont need the shocks and springs), itll bolt up. all the points are the same, but youll keep your stock lower control arm.

Is it better to go to a junkyard and pull it of a donor? If so what donor should I look for, and what parts should I replace in the process(brake lines, anything else...)? Could you give me a price range of what I should be looking for in a junkyard? Thanks!

I was just thinking, what about the E-brake what is the deal with that, do i use my old one, or do I use the donor one? Thanks sacicons.

You will need the E-brake cable from the donor car. I am eventually thinking of doing this as well, and will be taking the junkyard route. I've heard its really not that hard to do, provided you have everything you need. And you can usually tell by looking at the pieces (such as lines etc..) what does and doesnt need to be replaced. Good luck and take lots of pictures while you do it, it would make a great DIY

lines and cables you must get...get a torch...heated up bolts turn so much easier...even if they used to be rusted...get a spare 9/16th socket too when going to the junkyard

If it's rusty, than you'll need 9/16. Personal experience...
