RIGHT FRONT TIRE MAKING HORRIBLE NOISE
okay... so I've had my car lowered for a year now and I've never had ANY problems with it. Recently my car though has been making a scraping noise everytime i make U-turns. Its loud and embarassing, but more so, I'm worried why all of a sudden its starting to do this now. I noticed that of all the times it has happened the tire has created a hole in one of the plastic mudguards (i think). I'm worried that it has something to do with my coilovers. Would anyone know of any reason why this would be happening NOW?

did you get an alignment job? i would think thats the problem. how much did you drop it? and is it only in a certain direction that its scraping? did you do anything else to the suspension than coilovers? did it start when you did that? are the wheels slanted any direction?

check to see exactly where the tire is rubbing. i had the same problem with my old 99 civic and it was just the pieces on the coilover came lose and started unscrewing itself which lowered that side of the car. i put it back to the right height and tightened it and bam, it was fixed.

and regardless of all other factors... get your camber corrected, you most likely would not have a hole in your mudgaurd if you did, your tires will last way longer.. and you know the way a lowered car tends to kinda get stuck in every little rutt, that goes away as well
