99 Civic Si[/align][/align]recently added...[/align]b&g springs[/align]16s[/align]205/45/16[/align][/align]sometimes itdoes on turns. it definitely rubs in the rear while i have passengers.i thought id be fine with any situation on 16s instead of 17s, of course. i really do not want to roll my fenders. [/align][/align]any suggestions on how to fix? [/align]

 

What is the offset on the wheels?
4x100 +what?

 

yeah, offset has quite a bit to do with you rubbing... just looking at it, the tire size seems right for a 16x7 wheel, and with the right offset, a 7 inch wide wheels shouldn't rub in rear.

most likely your tires are geting cut up very bad on the outter top edges..
ALSO how much have ya lowered the car? cause on stock suspension it shouldnt rub!


either sell the rims and get the right offset ones OR if they dont rub to much.. roll the fender lips! just depends HOW BAD the offset is.....

Basically, the offset is the distance from the back of the mounting pad (what goes up against the brake when you mount the wheel on the car) to the wheel's centerline. You can measure it, but I'm sure it's not an easy thing to do. Most manufacturers stamp the offset on the back of one of the spokes of the wheels. To avoid rubbing, the offset should be at least +38mm, ideally something between +40 and +45.

 

dito..... pull one wheel off and simply look at the back of the mounting point or the spokes.... they should have stampings on them...

its got quite a bit of info stamped onto the rim.
