Default s tech and tokico shocks...good setup?

i have a 00 civic and just put the blue tokico hp on and tokico springs but the front didnt drop and it looks like the rear drop more than it should its was suppose to be a 1.4 drop all the way down. so im getting the tien S-techs with a 1.9 front and 1.7 rear. i was reading and my question is will the front still sit higher than the rear? I heard this was a good setup, and want to have a even drop.

theoretically, the S-tech setup should make your front and rear wheel gap roughly even because of the .2 inch lesser drop on the rear springs.

that said, anything can happen when you put your springs on. spring sag is greatly influenced by what's in your car, what's in your trunk, strut type, etc.

basically, you won't know what kind of drop you'll have until you put them on there.

the only sure way to get an even drop is to buy height adjustable coilovers, but you've already spent good money on tokico HPs so that is probably not an option.

thanks bro. i do have a sound system. i have an extra battery and a sub box in the trunk. my guess is that it may make the back drop a little more. id hate to have to take it out but ill see what happens.

with all that junk, ur a$$ will be sagin like crazy...it'll look horrible. better off getting from coilovers so u'll have the stance ur looking for even with all the stuff in ur trunk,

it probably WAS an even drop, but the back was originally lower (it was like that from the factory)
you just notice the difference more when you have less wheelgap.

i have 17 on their now and before i droped it the gap around the car looked even but you may be right. when i get the springs in and put them on we'll all find out. if the drop is in the back is bad ill just take the subs and extra battery out and see if it helps.

well, ,did it help taking that stuff out, or did the s.techs cure the sagging problem?

because i havetwo 12's(probably60 pounds all together)in my trunk and im wondering if that is going to make the s.techs sag when i install them?

should i just take my subs out for the first 2-3 months when i first installl the s.techs to let them "settle" and than put my subs back in, or does that not work like that?

gforce, post some pics so i can see, thanks

Funny, I'm in the same boat as you... Mine is lowered on the same setup and it wasn't as low as I wanted it (I should've done my research first). I recently got wheels and it's even more noticeable (to me at least) than when I had my stockies on. I too am either thinking of the Tein S-Techs (which I have on my IS300) or go w/Neuspeed or H&R race springs. I just hate wheel well gap. I want a drop right over the wheels and like drbyers said, I've already put out $ on the Tokico setup, I'd prefer to get springs b/c I will not touch the height once its set.

Also, lowering springs are made to lower evenly all the way around as previously mentioned -- stereo systems (w/subs, boxes, amps, etc) will def lower the rear more which is when coilvers come in handy.
