Default 17 inch too BIG!

Will 17 inch wheels on my 94 cx hatch be too big? The car is lowered on S-techs, I found a really nice deal on a set of these 17 inch wheels, they are O.Z.

I think they would look pretty good on a red hatch, lol. Anyways they have brand new Kumho ECSTA AST: 205/45/17 tires balanced and all. They are completely ready to go on. Do you guys think they will work without rolling the fenders? (specs on the wheels are:17"x7" offset 40 ) I want them![8D]

anyone know, I know the smaller size is better for performance, is 17 inch over doing it? For a daily driver, this is not a track car, but may be used once in a while there once I get a swap done, as Calgary has honda swap meets at the local track/strip

well with 45s my guess is they will rub IF YOU HAVE CORRECT CAMBER! even 40s can rub.

but if you rock negative camber like so many people do.... they they should rub. but IMO just roll the fenders your only rolling the inner lip not the exterior metal so it will never be seen...

on stiffer springs they would probably be ok BUT these Stechs move alot so youve got pleanty of suspension travel that with the right speed and corner they can rub.

id say go for them if your geting a good deal.... rolling fenders is preaty cheap.

I REALY WISH that the old 17s i bought DIRT CHEAP for just $75bucks! rims and OK tires. but i sold them cause they rubbed. i did make money BUT ILL PROBABLY NEVER FIND A DEAL LIKE THAT AGAIN!!!!

92 thru 95 17x7 +45 is a dead ringer fit. 205/40/17
the 40mm offset might not do you good.

I have 17's (+45mm offset) on my EG with no problems whatsoever (205/40 tires). I even had the car slammed last summer (and I mean slammed lol) with no rubbing problems in back (the fronts scraped the fenders when I turned at slow speeds, but that's what happens when you tuck a little tire up front lol)

damn, I might look into rolling the fenders. Who does this or would it be possible for me to do myself? I really like these wheels as the first time I saw them was on one of the gran turismo games, lol, and from there I have always wanted a set one day on some car. They are actually fairly hard to find in my area as I have never really come across a set on the net either, but I will look into rolling the fenders. I need to do this quick before they are sold to someone else,

from what I've heard, a +40 offset should be enough to tuck. If it isn't, I'm sure you can find 5mm spacers. Definitely go for the wheels if you like them... you can always make them fit.

and you can roll your own fenders, but you're going to crack and chip your paint (and risk wrinkling your fenders)
