So, whats bad about ebay coilovers?

You get what you pay for. Most of those companies don't have alot of money going into their research and development of their products. Therefore they fail miserably.

ebay coilovers.... crappy springs they will sag and performance will suck. second if you lower them like most people do they will blow the stock struts preaty quickly.
your best to spend more money and get a GOOD suspension that will last the life of the car!
that extra money is going towards QUALITY PARTS tried and true and tested!

Ebay isn't a brand, rather a provider of low quality and non-branded products. Most cheap and no name springs and coilover products don't take proper research into consideration. Things such as certain coatings aren't applied to prevent rusting and pitting, improper heat treatment processes that lead to severe spring sagging. You also take the risk in buying a set of springs with mislabeled spring rates, which can ruin your ride and prevent you from properly matching the dampening on a strut. Other problems such as inconsistent spring seating and settling can occur, which will throw the vehicle balance off.

The "ebay" ones have no known rates. If you ask the seller, they will respond with something like "sport" or "performance" spring rates. I have asked to see what they would say. I would never put them on my car and highly recommend you dont put them on yours. Once your struts blow and the springs start sagging in a month or two you will be in trouble and spend even more money to get it done the right way.
