Default Some wheels for summer

Well I might be selling my civic finally this spring. Im not sure I can handle another summer of no ac, and I dont know if I can afford/have the room to have a dd and a project hatch ;( I have been looking at a place where I initially bought my 180sx earlier this year (sold it) and they are having some clearence specials on wheels, so I would like to pick up a 4 set on the cheap even if I dont keep the civic I can sell them later. I like these wheels here http://www.importconcern.ca/parts/ilist.php?item_id=988 but not sure if they will fit. They are a 4*100 bolt pattern wheel sizes are 15x7 +35offset, not sure about the offset and yes I did read the sticky. Does it matter that they are 15"? does that change what the offset should be? Mind you also if I keep my hatch it is going to be riding on skunk2 pro coilovers I have here with a max 3 inch drop/with camber kit etc. Will this offset work? Here are all the 15's they have btw take a look threw them there is a few others I like again though the offset is confusing me. What offset with a 15" wheel am I looking for? btw these little crx wheels are pretty nice too and cheap >> http://www.importconcern.ca/parts/ilist.php?item_id=211 sorry for all the links lol.

http://www.importconcern.ca/parts/list.php?cat_id=16 (( >>>>>> ALL 15's)) If you see some wheels that may fit let me know on this list I would like to stick with 14/15

I don't believe the wheels will fit without the tires rubbing if you're lowered. The overall size of the wheel doesn't have much to do with the offset, but the wheel width does. With a 7" wide wheel, you're going to want at least a 38mm offset, preferably closer to 40/42. I do like how the wheels look though.

they should be fine. i'm running 15x6.5 +35 offset with 195/50R15 tires and sitting pretty low and i've never rubbed even while racing.

1/2" = 12.7mm

The wheels he's looking at are 15x7's, so (correct me if I'm wrong), he'd want 205/45-15 tires. He could fit 195/45-15's, but it's still a 7.67" wide tire. Personally, I'd try to find a higher offset, but if civicex hasn't had any problems, you might not either.

hhhmmm I definitely dont want to buy them and have trouble witht the rubbing aspect. I am going to go threw that list I linked and check out some other wheels and ill post them up if im unsure about it. I like the wheels too and they are a steal at this price really as arer most of the wheels there. civicex how low would you say your car is? Obviously if you track your car your turning/leaning pretty hard too I would assume. What about those crx wheels? You think they would fit? (Just in case I decide to sell then I can throw in a summer set of oem wheels/tires)

I suppose these would be well fitting for size http://www.importconcern.ca/parts/ilist.php?item_id=300 15's, 4*100 and 15*7 with +43 offset pretty close to what you said chris. I really like the white wheel look on a red hatch but one of the wheels is a bit scratched, o well at least I won't feel so bad beating on them then lol I might consider them if they will work

15x7 with a +43mm offset will definitely fit. If you get the first set of wheels, I'd suggest going with the 195/45-15 tires, since they're almost half an inch narrower than the 205 tires; that alone might keep you from rubbing.

And those white wheels can always be refinished

those wheels http://www.importconcern.ca/parts/ilist.php?item_id=988 are the same as the MB competiton (a-tech) at discount tire which are 105 ea they even have a +43 offset in the gunmetal color.

Discount tire also ships to Canada via UPS.

i can barely fit a finger between the tire and fender, front and rear. not slammed but def. pretty low. and yeah i do push it hard around turns and have the steering wheel sometimes full lock while turning hard and never once have i rubbed. i have ran a 15x7 +42 with a wide 205/50R15 tire, never rubbed so those other wheels your looking at will do just fine.

I stand corrected

What I don't understand is on a set of 17's with 205/40 tires and a +35mm offset, the tires will definitely rub, and the wheels has an overall diameter of 23.45". But a set of 15's with 205/45 tires (22.26" overall diameter) with the same offset won't? Apparently half an inch makes a world of difference lol

*edit: just noticed the 15x7's aj had were +42 offset... still, get 195/45 tires and you shouldn't have a problem

cool thanks for the info! unfortunately because of the recession in both USA and Canada our dollar has now fallen again from the par it was at to about 79 cents, meaning those wheels will be about 140 each but still im going to check out the website. I might just go with those first wheels chris and put on the recommended tire size you said, or I actually might go for those white ones. Again what do you guys think those crx wheels would look like?
