Default Steering wheel wobble?

I recently bought some new wheels and tires. The wheels are 17", and I love em. They feel more responsive, and handle better. But when I get up to higher speeds ( About 70 ) my steering wheel starts to wobble quite a bit. Never did this before.

It's not a big deal. But if there's any easy fix it would be worth it to fix.

One or more of the wheels may be out of balance.

+1 on out of balance.

If the tires were not brand new, it could also be a belt separating.

whenever you buy any new rims or tires, always get them balanced. With my old rims, I just had a bent rim which eventually led to a blown sidewall and the worst wobble I've ever felt. Then I bought all new rims/tires, got them balanced and wow they feel so smooth. And the tires are a lot quieter than my last set.

So I take it I can't get these used rims balanced?

If the problem persists after balancing and checking for out of round, you may need some hub centering rings. The tire shop can help you with that as well.
Ask them when re installing the wheels to the car to just snug them down with the gun, lower the car so the tires JUST touch the ground, then use a torque wrench. Say 80lbs. then set the car down.

you can get used rims/tires balanced, I was just saying make sure the rims aren't bent or deformed in any way.
