I bought a set of dropzone coilovers (I know, cheap, rougher ride, but I'm only looking to lower a bit and stiffen my ride.). I'm really only looking to stiffen my ride because the stock suspension has me leaning in corners like no tomorrow. I know that the spring rate of the coilovers is fairly stiff. I was thinking about getting KYB GR-2 shocks because i could not do the coils with no new shocks. Im only going to lower is about an inch maybe a little bit more, but i need the adjustiblity of coilovers for the winter (canada).

Are these good shocks for the coilovers or are they made for a looser suspension set up?

I know this setup isnt great, but I only want it for mild street purposes and to drop my ride a little bit. Nothing too serious.

 

they should work. though for a little more money i'd go with the KYB AGXs. They can be found on ebay new for like 330 shipped.
