Stock rims to stock rims....

I want to get rid of the stock hubcaps but I don't like the look of after market wheels. If I were to buy stock Honda wheels, would the tire size (185/65/14, I think) be the same as the wheels with the hubcaps? Civic is a 1998 4DR DX.

It depends on what size the wheels are. Other than the HX and Si, Im not sure that the 6th gen civics were offered with anything but steelies with hub caps. I only know the size of the Si wheels off the top of my head (15d x 6w). Find out the dimensions of the wheels.

hx wheels are stock civic wheels with tire size 185/65-14.

Would these be perfect?

I just got a set of tires back in the Spring so I don't need the tires (buyer says that they'll take the tires off if wanted and subtract $90). $408 shipped would be the total, is that a good deal?

Mismatched tires, but hey. HX's. I'd go for Si's on that car, personally.

But what do I know? I'm rocking phone dials...

On a 14x5 rim, I'm using 195/60/14s. On my Si's, 15x6, I'm using 205/50/15s.

those will fit your tires. check on craigslist as well you might be able to find a set for 300-350. i've even found them for 250 where i live

Problem is I just spent $330 on four new tires back in the Spring and I'm not willing to buy another new set just because I want better rims.

Also, when I Googled the HX rims I came across a forum topic on another site that said the HX rims wouldn't fit '96-00 Civics without shaving down the calipers a little bit. Is this true?

Assuming that they are correct then you just gotta get a dremmel-like bit for your drill for like $3 and fix your calipers. Honestly I dont see why you should have clearance issues. I have 14''s and theres no clearance issues with the calipers whatsoever.
Basically what im saying is just get the wheels.

The question is do you have a DX/LX or EX? DX/LX brakes are smaller. EX brakes are bigger. I read everywhere that my old CRX rims wouldn't fit without spacers but they fit fine.

I have a DX so hopefully they'll fit. The more pictures I see of them, the more I want them. I think I'm going to go for it:D

Just to be sure, this is a different listing but the same wheels as the other eBay link I posted and will fit my car/tires right?
