what is the weight on a stock steel wheel off of a 98' civic ex? i have a set of 4 motegi mr7's and they weigh 16 and 1/2 lbs. each. i wanted to see how much of differance in weight betwwen the 2 wheels. and the motegi's are 15x6.5 rims. my birthday is coming up in june and some my family members are going to pitch in for a new set of tires for my birthday. but if the motegi's are much heavier than the stock rims i'm will stick with them. I think they are like 18 to 22lbs but I may be wrong so dont quote me.

18 to 20 pounds? aren't they lighter than the 99'-00' si wheels? i know the si wheels weigh 18 lbs.

 

Probly not, you gotta remember they maybe only 14's but they are steel. I suggest some 15 inch rota slips if you are concerned with weight.

I think the stock rim (without tire) for a 99 EX is around 15 lbs. Remember, the 99-00 SI rims are different from the EX...
