Default strut bars. worth it?

hey. so i was offered skunk2 front and rear strut bars for my 96 ex for $200. seems like a good deal but my question is this: will just putting those on cause a noticeable improvement in my handling? a friend of mine told me it would only be noticeable in conjuction with lowering...he told me rear sways would be a better bet.

not worth $200. best bet would be to just pick a set up off ebay for like $50 or w/e. and yes, a rear swaybar will be much more effective than a couple strut bars. for $200 you could just about get a full rear swaybar and subframe kit.

I bought used vibrant ones from a guy. 80 bucks, Front and back. They're going to do the EXACT same thing as your skunk2. They're worth getting, but not 200 dollars worth. Like civicexracer said get some Ebay ones they're just as good.

for the rear you need to cut the carpet and if you have a speaker box back in there it might get in the way, but its the same install as the front, just covered up by carpet.

And for $200? You're just paying for hte name. I have an eBay front strut bar and it works just fine, makes a prettty nice difference. A rear strut bar would do even better, and i've heard fine things about them from eBay as well.

And i don't have any experience, but if you have the money i've heard sway bars make an even bigger difference. Both will be good! But i wouldn't drop $200 just on the strut bars if it was me.

maybe in clothing, but in the automotive industry, the price variation can be due to many factors such as research, design, fitment, and the big one: QUALITY, which many companies lack. so if you want quality, buy quality. if you want something that can do the job, then buy something that can do the job without breaking the bank. Either way has pro's and con's.
