Default Suspension

Im lookin for some suspension for my 1994 Civic LX sedan. I need it for all 4 wheels, struts (springs and shock absorbers). I want to spend anywhere from $200-$500. I'm not looking for lower the car, im just looking to be able to go around the corner alot faster than i can. Ride quality does not really matter, jus performance.

I think you might wanna try strut and sway bars.

yeah going around corneres faster and safer depends on a lower center of gravity, which would require you to lower your car. Strut bars will help but it wouldn't be like lowering your car and getting some quality performance shocks/struts.

Tokicos and H&R's are always my recommendation. You can find a full setup for less than $400 on eBay.

Kappa what do you think of RS*R? I had planned on getting H&R but I'm looking for a slightly larger drop than 1.3" I'm still picking up Tokico HP's but I'm a little unsure about the springs. I'm looking for a 1.5 - 1.75(at very max). the RS*R's are 1.6, the Down Spring model.

The reason i don't want to buy strut/sway bars is because my struts are already broken, every time i go over a bump i hear squeaks from everywhere and the front right shock absorber is leaking. And i could lower my car, i would jus prefer not to have to buy a camber kit and mess up my already bad wheel alignment.

Tokico shocks & Eibach Pro-Kit springs. It will lower the car about an inch & you won't need to buy a camber kit.

The only reason I suggested strut and sway bars is because of what I read what AgentofDarkness said in his request for help.
AgentofDarkness said he wasn't looking to lower his car, so the only other suggestion was strut and sway bars.

I guess another alternative to lowering your car AgentofDarkness, would be putting on some nice rims with performance tires to give you better traction. For that you would have to look for a used set on eBay or something to stay under your $500 request.

Well, you should be able to find H&R's that drop 1.75" (I know the Sport-Race springs for 4 and 5G's are about that much). Eibachs are generally overpriced.

hehehe........I love it when someone asks a question and states what they don't want and how much they wanna spend, then all these people post about taking his car to a design specialist and they'll redesign everything, chop it, cut it, build it, and he'll be all set for about $375,000. Just a little over his $500 budget, even though it hasn't answered his question......lol
