Default Tein Stech questions

Hey I was considering on buying the Tein Stechs for my 98 civic ex. I have a couple of questions. If anyone has before and after pics of when they didnt have the tein's on, and than when they put them on. I was wondering if you would need to buy new shocks and/or struts, or is there no other modification necessary. If anyone knows how much drop do you actually get? I live in New York, and during the winter I was wondering if it would be harder to drive in the snow because my car would be lower.

Thanks for the Help

not the best pics, but this is what i can find right now. 1st one is lowred on stechs, i have a 97 civic w/ 16's and 205/45 tires. in the front i have about a 1-1.5 finger gap, and in the rear, about a 2, little less. the ride is great, not bumpy etc, and improved handling can be felt. i would highly suggest new shocks, as people have complained about that its "bumpier", and you also have a chance of blowing them. also a camber kit for the front would be ideal, just get EVERYTHING and get it put on at once and save you time, money, and hassle. if you need anything else, just pm me.

IM just wondering if youre absolutely positive about getting new shocks, because i heard the drop isnt that much and doesnt affect the shocks. But if it does than i definately want to get them. Whats a camber kit? And where can i get new shocks, and the camber kit?? And what are good brands that dont cost that much.

Did you buy new shocks and the camber kit?

Thanks

the drop is nearly 2' all around, that is a pretty decent drop. get new shocks, spend the extra 200 and get some..you will NOT regret it. get a set of kyb gr2's or tokico hps(blues), both will only run you 200-220 on ebay. camber kits help correct your negative camber, you will have it reguardless if you drop it .5 or 3 inches. your tires will look like this.. / \ faced in somewhat. that and toe will destroy your tire life, and it looks funny when you drive..ppl behind you will be like "WTF?!?" for a camber kit, go w/ omni power, or skunk2, both are 150 shipped on ebay. for the rears you have a few choices. you can go ahead and order a kit, or do the "washer trick", do a search on that. i highly suggest doing everything at once, i learned it the hard way so take it from me. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. good springs, good shocks, good camber kit, saves you $$$$$. another thing to think about, i know your probably tight on money..but do not cheap on on suspension.
