RE: Tire edge
i think your talking about low profile tires which look more flat and are thinner than regular ones....i got some falken Ziex ZE-512 they look pretty good....hope this is any help...im not sure if im really answering ur question tho???

RE: Tire edge
Ya i know low pro but i see like normal tires, they just have more of a cornered off look than the normal rounded look.

RE: Tire edge
A lot of that comes from how the tires fit on the rims. A wider tire compared to rim width will tend to square off more than a narrow one, which will tend to round off.

RE: Tire edge
you want to look for a tire with a speed rating of "H" or higher. they have the wider footprint that you are looking for. the higher speed rated tiresare made that way to help in cornering & handling.

RE: Tire edge

RE: Tire edge
I think the OP is talking about tires with a squared-off shoulder to the tread. I'm not really familiar with car tires, but it would be like the difference between a rounded golfcart tire and a squarer go-cart tire. 'Similar tire and rim size, but very different shapes. If you're familiar with LT tires, it'd be the difference in shoulder shape between an old-style Goodyear Wrangler MT and a BFG MT. They could be the same size and for similar purpose, but have very different shapes. Even schoolbuses have extremely squared-off treads, but the sidewall may bulge quite a bit.
To the OP...You could just google treads that you're interested in, to see how squared the shoulders look in pics. |
RE: Tire edge
I'm not sure about other tires, but Cooper Zeon ZPT's have squared off edges.
