bridestone potenzas is a respectable brand of tires. my girlfriend got them on her celica and she likes them and about to buy another set not sure what model she got but they are bridgestone potenzas. from the review from tirerack they seem to be good and the customer reviews seems to be good. for $68 each i would get them if you want them

Yo dude when you're lookin for some tires you want to look at size
for example since you want 17in rims you're gonna need 205/40/R17
next you need to look at speed rating which will be a letter like V or W or something
also look at temperature rating, and traction rating; which will usually be an A or a B
after that look at treadwear which is how long the tread is supposed to last and it'll be a number like 300 or something. Pretty sure 300 is a respectable number too.
Finally, READ REVIEWS! Find a website or forum that reviews tires and look them up.
I found a descent place: http://www.1010tires.com/tirereviews.asp
just find a brand and look for the tire.
