Default tire question

I got an 89 civic with a b18 in it and I am wondering if I stick the stock size rims and tires on the car will that correct my current mpg issue. Right now I am currently getting 24 mpg which is bull****. Currently I have 195/60/14 on it on stock steel rims. I also need to know what was the stock tire size on a 1989 Honda Civic STD? Thanks for any suggestions.

your problem isn't in your tires, it the motor, #1 a b18 doesn't get great mileage and #2 it probably isn't in top condition

that mpg sounds about right from a b18. most they normally get would be around 30mpg, atleast thats the best both of my friends GSR's get.

Tire size is pretty damn close too though....I think it should be 185/65/14 but I'm pretty sure that a 195/60/14 like you have is close enough that it won't make a difference

well I am pretty damn sure this car from the factory came with 13 inch rims on it and I know a gentleman who has a 92 teg and he is getting 40mpg on a stock B18A1 with over 200k on it. I should be getting better than him because I weigh damn near a 1000lbs less. My car weighs 2200 without me and about 2375 with me. Would riggin in cruise control help? now on the subject of the computer the knock sensor is not hooked up. I am going to start posting pictures on the wiring and other stuff to see if there is something incorrect. It is a stock computer also but I don't know if it is an Integra computer.
