Tires hitting inner wall
 

Hey everyone! I have a 93 Honda Civic DX. The car has aftermarket suspension, it is lowered, and I just bought and installed a new set of rims and tires. Unfortunately when I turn the wheel all the way to the left and right. The tires hit the inner wall (front 2 tires of course). Is it possible to either widen the the wheels or do something else so it doesn't hit. Removing the inner all is not really an option.

Option #1: Buy smaller tires for the front.
Option #2: If you have coilovers raise the front up. If you have lowering springs buy coilovers.
Option #3: Put your old wheels back on.


It sounds like you have a really big tire, wire tire, or you increased your rim size to much.

What tire size are you running?

My options without seeing your car, or knowing the tire size:

1 - Remove the inner fender liner/roll the fenders.
2 - Raise the vehicle up slightly.

In addition to all of those, what's the offset of the wheels you just bought?

I'm betting it's either the tire size or offset (or both). If it was just the ride height it'd hit the lip of the fender before it touched the inner fender.

Most likely you have too high of an offset on the wheels. If your tires are a little wider, that obviously wouldn't help. What is the width and offset of the wheels you got and the tire size?

If the offset is too high, you could get small spacers for the front, maybe 5mm, to essentially change the offset and push the wheels out a bit more. Just be sure you don't get too large of a spacer otherwise you'll have the opposite issue of rubbing your fender lip.
