Why is the BMW considered The Ultimate Driving Machine? I mean I know it's 50/50 balanced and has huge tires,but what else is under all that. What do I need to do to my 04 Civic ex to get it to handle as good or better than a BMW M series. Please give me some brand names too. HELP!!!

 

A motor swap, prob something like a turbo K20 or and k20 type R motor with alot of bolt ons to equal the power difference.

I would add a wide body, something JDM like cwest. Some meaty tires like say......245 or bigger on all four corners, with a treadwear rating below 150.

Brembo or Baer big brake upgrade.

Tein (type flex maybe?) suspension with edfc.

All the strut bars and anti sway bars, but nothing cheap, should be titanium.

Start stripping out all the weight you can. Get all the sound deading, all the crash saftey stuff, EVERYTHING you dont need. Then start welding in stiffining braces everywhere the car is weak. Concentrate on open areas like the center of the car, the doors, the trunk acces from the car. Just because there is metal there doesnt mean it wont flex, brace everything.

A roll cage, prob 6 point. Same decent seats with belts to keep you in place while turning.

Id say that should get you there.

Or save yourself 20K and get you one of these.......
