ULTIMATE SUSPENSION plan
apparently no one is reading that he wants to raise the ride height (god knows why)...
most coil over sets will lower your car... not raise it.... as for raising it beyond stock height, you're not going to be able to raise it much, as it really is limited by the front suspension setup

I'd never spend that much money on something that's going to be driven through the winter in the northeast. Get some koni yellows and H&R sport springs, and buy a snow shovel, or some good winter tires... do you really think another 1/2" of ground clearance will help you get over a snowbank? And sorry, but you're not going to get "amazing" handling by RAISING the car's center of gravity.

How do I pick my 96 lx up off the ground, abit.. It's alot lower than your other cars.
The reason why???? mainly because in the winter my civic cant travel in foot deep of snow, when it so low off the ground!! I live in toronto, canada and on occasion when it snows I cant get out of my apartment complex because all the snow has been pushed in the driveway!!!

if you live in canada then you obviously need to look to spend that 2000 on a ride to drive when it snows. if you want the car to handle better then you have to lower it and i dont think ive ever seen a raised civic i know that they look hideous with a factory supspension with rims but to raise it thats going to look even more ridiculous. looks to me like the best thing for you would be air cans. granted they dont handle very well at all but i think that would be the only way to go to get more lift with the full time height adjustment.
