Default Ups and downs of larger wheels

A smaller size is relatively better for speed and faster of the line, right? A larger rim won't be as fast off the line but it holds gears longer and are better for handling right? If you had to choose a small or large rim, which would you pick and why? I would like to go up to 16's. How would my ride differ from my stock 14's?[:@]

i would say 17. it wil get better traction than 18s cause of the more meat on the wheels. and 16 are to small by my standards. reason is they dont look as cool.

I think many people on here will agree that 16 is the best balance between performance and looks. Keep an eye on the weight of the wheels, that's where it'll slow you down.

What about low profile tires? I'm don't know that much on that subject. But would anyone recommend them for 16's?

I don't think you can go lower than 45 for 16's, could be mistaken though.

I think 17's look the best.

I would nominate some light weight 15" racing rims, i think they look perfect, not to big and not to small

<----15"

Well I got 17's now and I will soon be going down to a 16 maybe even a 15.

once you go to 17 and up, you start to lose a lot of the ride confort. Like Chim said, 16 seems to be the perfect balance.

And look at my car, I have 16's, and I think they look plenty big enough...plus they only weight 17.5 lbs

EDIT: once it's lowered it'll look a lot better. THumbs up on 16's
