Default wanting a nice setup

ok, im a frequent forum user, but haven't really checked out the suspension stuff very much. I was wondering, if i had a budget of about 500 dollars, what would be the best stuff to do that would improve handling and possilbly get a bit of a drop (i only want about an inch to an inch and a half if i drop it). Any input would be nice...also id like to recomment a kind of review sticky like the one in the i/h/e forum. Thanks for any help

u should talk todblclutchin about how he likes his setup. he's on a budget as well and found a nice deal. here's what he saidon a previous thread:

"I know what I'm getting for sure. KYB GR-2's from Summit- $268 for all 4 and Megan Racing lowering springs from Street Styler on sale- $100 I think its a decent setup for a student on a budget."

Forty has a Tokico setup, seems to work for him, and the drop is about that much.

you can, but i wouldn't waste my money on taking the cheep route. i would just get the goods the first time so you don't fork out more down the road

so are a decent set of coilovers pretty much out of that price range? I don't need really stiff, somewhere in between ideal autox and commuter

My friend ran neuspeed springs on tokico hps and he loved it. He also had sways, I had a chance to drive it before he totalled it, it drove like it was on a rail. Great setup I'll say.

Was that intended to be as condescending as it sounded?
