I have a honda 93 civic. I was wondering what size tire should i ride? 205, 215, 235?
I want the best look (low profile) but I also dont want to worry about pot holes (to much) Which one should i pick. I will want these tires on 17's .. Holla atcha Boi!

RE: Wheel Tire size

the number you are refering to is the width, not the profile. the wider the width, the better the traction, but you will have rubbing issues with 17s if you go too wide. a good size for 17s without too much rubbing would be about 205/40, 205/45, or 215/40.

Oh alright thank you very much and what does the 45 mean?

RE: Wheel Tire size

The second number in tire size is the sidewall thickness. Unfortunately, it's not a straight measurement. It is the PERCENTAGE of the width that makes up the sidewall height. Therefore, 205/45's mean 205 mm wide, with 45% of 205mm sidewalls (which comes out to be 92.25mm or about 3.63 inches).
