Follow by removing the bolt on the fork of strut.

NO PIX In order for me to remove the whole unit including the fork, I have remove the lower arm nut / pin and the axle hub nut (33mm). As to how you would remove the axle from the vehicle.

After all the bolts and nuts are remove from the axle / strut, then remove the 2 nuts on top of damper housing, the shock unit will drop and remove it from the vehicle.

Remove the bolt on the fork to separate the fork from the strut.
Use spring compressor to compress the spring and remove the bolt on top of the shock, remove the damper and slide the old shock.

NOTE: remember the alignment mark on damper when reinstall, because you will not be able to turn it once the spring is un-compressed.

Reinstall in reverse order ..!
