I bought an '03 HX with a 1.7 and that miserable CVT for my son a few months ago. I did not realize at the time that this car was equipped with a CVT. He found it and had to have it, so I got it. Never in my life have I driven a more UN-interesting car. It is awful. I am wondering about swapping it to a 5-speed. I am a very accomplished mechanic with a fully equipped shop, lift, etc, etc. I just don't know much about these hondas. What kinda donor car am I going to need to do this swap with? I have a lead on a '99 that's a 5-speed, but its a gen 6 car and I'm sure the engine is different too. Looking forward to getting some help from you guys - thanks in advance.
