i don't have the how-to but i'll tell you how to do it.
jack up the car and put it on jack stands.
drain out transmission fluid
remove pass side and driver side axles
remove pass side tranny mount
place a jack under the tranny
remove the bolts on rear tranny bracket
lower lower the jack
the whole engine will now be at an angle.
remove starter
remove the 17mm tranny bolts. i think there is 6
place the jack under the tranny, raise it up, but not all the way.
get a screwdriver and pry off the tranny
catch the tranny w/ the jack and lower the jack.
you should now have the tranny off
removing the clutch.
get a 12 point 10mm socket and loosen the bolts on the pressure plate. you will have to put a 19mm socket and rachet on the crank pulley bolt to prevent it from spinning while taking out the 10mm pressure plate bolts.
the clutch and pressure plate should be off by now.
just do everything in reverse to put everything back on. any questions hit me up and i'll help you out

I've pretty much done most of what you listed. Do you have to take the starter off to get the tranny out? I've gotten the axles out, the bellhousing bolts out, the shifter rod dropped, probably have to drop the support rod back at the shifter since I can't seem to get that roll pin out at the tranny, I'm about to disconnect the speedometer cable, I disconnected the clutch cable, I got the rear tranny mount off and one of the biggest things that has got me a bit paranoid is that it looks like 3 of the 4 motor mounts are attached to the tranny. The rear one and side one for sure and it looks like the one on the frontend side of the tranny has to come off, too. Is that right? I borrowed this cradle type set-up from a friend that lays across the engine bay on top of the engine and supports the engine while the tranny is out.
you pretty much figured everything out that i've left off. to get the "bitch" pin out, just get an 8mm punch and just pound it w/ a hammer. it will come off. if you don't have a punch, you can use a 12mm bolt long enough so you can pound on it. the exhaust bolt works great. that's what i usually use. make sure you hit it straight.
yes, you have to take the starter off to get the tranny out.
you are right about the mounts. those has to come off. if you get those off, your motor and tranny should tilt to the pass side. that cradle type thingy that you borrowed will help out alot.
good luck
