Default auto tranny problem

i have a 1994 honda civic LX with an automatic transmission and i think the tranny is slipping because when i accelerate the rpm's increase but it does not pick up much speed and also the gears take quite long to shift. and i would like to know what is trans-x and does it really work

I think your tranny is trashed. Dont bother getting it fixed. Get a manual swap. It will cost you LESS THAN HALF. Take it from me kid, I found out the hard way. ($2300 for one F!@#ing gear!)

Besides something major internally, the slipping and slow shifts as you accelerate could be low fluid or a clogged filter.

Well, source the tranny first. I dont know ALL of what you need but anybody here will tell ya. Sometimes a dealer can do a swap for you but most the time you are going ot need to go to a performance shop to get it done.

Get a chiltons repair guide to give you step by step instructions.
the filter is inside the pan, remove the pan put in new filter and new pan gasket, fill with new oil. this fixes 90 percent of auto trans problems
