automatic shifting hesitation

I have a hesitation when my 97 Civic, auto tranny shiftsbetween 2nd to 3rd gear. It's not as bad from 3rd to 4th. It shifts fine from 1st to 2nd. Fluid level is OK. When I first start it up, the first time it goes through the gears it shifts fine, but after that the hesitation begins. Anyone have any thoughts? Would be greatly appreciated.

RE: automatic shifting hesitation

i have the same problem with the auto trans in my teg, when it comes to tranny problems its usualy cheaper to swap than repair, i have a buddy who works as a parts man at honda and he quoted me 700 for a trans and the work to put it in as a side job but i have been driving the car for months, so unless it is horrible its best just to live with it. dont try those liquid mechanic products though, they just expand the seals temporarily then they dry up.
