axle boots need replacement

Hi guys, I have a honda civic ex, 97auto trannyand I'm planning to replace my cvt boots or axle boots ( correct me for the term ). Could you give me an idea how to get the boots on? Is there any special tools toget the axle out? Tia.

Depending on just how long your boots have needed replacement is the Question. If your axles have been running dry for a long period of time you would definately benefit in just replacing your axles. Its not overly complicated, and does not require and arm and leg as far as cost is concerned.

RE: axle boots need replacement

Thanks, I just bought axle assembly yesterday because I don't know how long is my axle running dry. The only thing that I have notice is the spot of greases around the fender and the boots is tearing apart. I prefer to buy the whole assembly because as you said it's not that expensive. It also has alifetime warranty.
