Axles!

I hope I posted in the right secting? I need to change my axles out but the problem I have run into is rusted BRIGHT ORANGE axle bolts. If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about it's the bolts that goes on the end of the axles. I have tired WD-40, PB blaster, 4 heavy duty craft-man rackets (breaking as I try to take it off). What should I do? I'm thinking about cutting the bolts after I torch the bolts till they are red. What do you guys think?

did you get a breaker bar? i used a 2 foot bar and a longer pipe on it to break mine loose, and or use a heavy duty impact.

I might be missing something, but all cars I happen to remove axle from had a NUT not a BOLT at the end of axle.
If this is a nut, it has a dent, going into the groove on the axle end, to prevent the nut from loosening. You need to use flat screwdriver with hammer, or other suitable (or even special) tool to remove the dent first, then it will be possible to loosen the nut witha good extender.

yeah, unstake the dent first if you havent already, but im thinking the orange isnt rust, its paint that the last installer used to tell if someone messed with the bolt in case of warranty issues. its so you cant have someone work on your car, then loosen the bolts and blame them when something falls off.

Otherwise known as an impact gun. I had the same problem when i was trying to change my axle. I couldn't get the bolt out for anything with the breaker bar i had. I got an impact gun and it came out in like 2 sec.

I have a 250psi tank and a impack gun...doesn't work. I've already used the flate head and hammer to remove the dent. I'm not trying to be ass but it's very frustrating. I've already done everything that everone has mention. Could it be that my craftmen impact gun is weak....and have to use a heavy duty truck one?

Are you trying to rotate it in the correct direction?
