Default b&m short throw shifters...

hey everyone, this is my first post and its just a little question...

does anybody know if b&m's short throw shifters shorten the heighth of the shifter in cars or does it just reduce the distance between shifting, keeping the same length of a stock shifter? im kind of unclear to the appearance of a short throw shifter... im thinking about getting one and putting an RSX shiftknob on it(i'd get a Type R **** but those are too expensive and RSX ones are basically the same just with black lettering and cheaper), but if its the same heighth as the stock shifter i think it'll look goofy with an egg shaped **** sitting high up, i'm hoping that the stick is cut down or whatever so that it'll look sick with that **** sittin low... anyways any info will be appreciated, thanks

Welcome to HCF.

Short throws are usually a bit shorter than the stockers, but not by much. I dont' know about B&M specifically, but find out the length of it and I will measure my stock one and we'll find out.

Welcome to HCF. I am getting ready to put a short throw in my car. I like how they feel.

^notchy is good

B&M has been around for a long time, and they've made shifters for a rediculously wide range of cars. I've heard nothing but good things about their products.

my friend has a B&M short shifter in his mazda p5 and its really good. it is shorter than stock and its actully pretty heavy which i guess is good for power shifting. it is made out of quality material but because of that, they can be pricey. if u got the money and want the name, i suggest getting it.
