Default B&M or skunk2?

ok so we've established that dual bend is better. but B&M aluminum or skunk2 steel? steel is obviously stronger, $30 more and says wont break. B&M is aluminum....$30 cheaper and doesnt gaurantee no break.

but am i really going to break a shifter?

<YELLS> somebody...help me?

my B&M is steel, i had a hurst aluminum one and it never bent or ever felt like it would break. the aluminum one would get warm from the exhaust being right under it. and steel isn't nessesarily stronger than aluminum. if aluminum is alloyed with other metals it becames very strong. and it has a higher strengh to weight ratio than steel in most alloyed forms.

yeah, but 6061 aluminum isnt nearly as strong as billet steel. ive broken 2 aluminum shifters, and have friends that have done more. but ive had my skunk2 for years with no problems.

i have an aluminum one and i dont have any problems. it does get a bit warm cuz of the exhaust like ef4life said but its not enough to cause any pain, acutlly feels good in the winter time...i have heard of them breaking but i figure as long as u dont power shift alllll the time then u should be good. as for brand, i've never had either but my friend has a B&M and its really nice. get a weighted shift **** too, helps every so slightly when doing quick shifts...

ya i planned to get a weighted shift ****, probably just a skunk2 shifter and shift ****. but then i found some other ***** that i liked by a few other companys. i dont know. i kinda like this RAZO leather ball...its black w/ red stitching to match my car. who knows. im scared metal will b seriously hot in the summer. and that would suck.

yeah, its an issue, but a black leather one isnt much better. it just cools faster. the metal ones stay warm for awhile.
