Bad Clutch or what?

I have a 99 si and the past couple days Ive had trouble shifting. Especially going into the 3rd the most. Whenever I would go to shift I would move it in to gear but it wouldnt pop in soemtimes, I would just feel it grind. So i woud back off and wiggle it around in neutral a little and it would eventually pop into gear. Also sometimes it would be really hard , even impossible to shift into gear. Id be at a stop sign or light and go to shift into first from neutral and it wouldnt budge in, sometimes I could force it in with both hands, other times Id have to shut the car off and shift it while it was off because it would shift easily while off then start it in first. Now today it finally gave on me while I was driving. Whenever I would try to start it in first or reverse it would turn on, shudder like it would if you stalled cause of a bad shift or something and then stall all while I still had my clutch fully depressed. One of the guys at my garage told me I just need a new clutch but I want to make sure before I dump $150 on a new one. Any opinions?

that almost sounds like you have a leak in the clutch line and youre losing fluid. how many miles on the clutch?
