Default Clutch Replacement

Anybody have a DIY for clutch replacement on a 96 coupe with a B series? I am not looking forward to changing this but it has to be done. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

Follow the B16a2 instructions in the 96-00 Civic manual. The majority of the job is dropping the transmission.

Hey, thanks Ron. Hopefully it won't be that bad.

Yeah, just plan carefully and take your time. Replace the clutch fork, throw out bearing, pressure plate, and friction disk. Either replace the flywheel or have it resurfaced. Some also replace the pilot bearing, as well as the rear main seal, if it is leaking. Torque everything to spec.

Alright, I bought a kit from Advance Auto. It comes with the Release bearing, Clutch Disc and the Pressure plate. Would i need an Impact wrench to remove the Flywheel?

Use long bolts as guides when putting the tranny back on. This is the part I found the hardest - having the thing align properly to bolt it back together.

Ok, so going to take of my axle nuts...I have a 32mm axle nut socket, but seems likes its a little to big...there is play in it. I went to Advance, and Auto zone to look for an axle nut socket set but they don't have any and says that they dont have 31mm which i thought might fit it. Anybody know of the socket size for the axle nut? I actually put the car on stands already. Should i put the wheels back on and drop it back down?

The axle nut is 32mm. Lower the front end on the tire. Be sure to raise the lock tab on the axle nut and then soak the nut with PB Blaster for 10-15 min before you try breaking it loose with your breaker bar. Should come off without too much difficulty.
