Angry diff may be shot, what now?

first off, i dont care about LSD. i want to go forwards, and sometimes backwards. drag racing is silly IMO, and im too poor to roadrace/auto x. that being said... what are my options? new diff's are expensive. used trans could be iffy. i have a friend who owns a trans shop, so labor will be relatively inexpensive. any opinions on the matter? anyone ever dealt with the same woes? i am @ a loss when it comes to the trans. i wont even replace my own clutch. thx everybody, maybe like a million bucks down the road my civic will be feeling better...

it feels like its a 1x4... one wheel drive. it pulls like a **** to the right under ANY accel, then when i chop throttle, it pulls like a **** back left. no going straight. cuz that would be too damn awesome and the honda gods hate my face. i should be picking her up tomorrow, got a new pulley (jdm ctr bee atch! mad tyte...), valves adjusted cuz i had em way too tight, and a few things here and there. i wont know bout the diff til tomorrow,er, i mean like in 9hrs. i dont sleep often.

all b series trans are the same and bolt up the same. just the gear ratio's are different. just find a b series hydro trans, and if u like ur gear ratio put them in it.

so before i go buying a trans w/a busted case(still dont know if its the diff, i will know friday), will a gsr diff bolt into my unspecified b series trans? idk what the code is cuz the car is in the shop. i dont want a $!000 quaife diff, just some stocker will do. any opinions? why isnt this section in the forum more active! i know people have trans problems...

u sure they r the same mitch? i mean, i know tha difference btwn cable and hydro, and the way the clutch is actuated shouldnt affect the diff, right? i hate being so transmission ignorant!!!
