RE: EX LSD....
Explain posi every time i do e-brake burnout. I know i didn't ever do a LSD and every other fwd car i ever did e-brake burnouts only does one wheel peels. Is it a freek??????

RE: EX LSD....
turn the wheel all the way to one side, then dump the clutch really hard. only one will spin, and youll leave one big black stripe.

RE: EX LSD....
Whats the use of a LSD if i get equal traction from both wheels as it is in a strait line. Seems like a waist of $800+ to buy a part that is suppsosed to do just that give me better traction.

RE: EX LSD....
The LSD is a huge improvement for cornering. When I put one in my old SI, WOW!!!
Auto-Xing was awsome, start getting a little understeer and just stomp on the gas and she would pull right back into the corner. Freaking amazing. Still not that great of str8 line though. Tires would spin when hitting VTEC. |
RE: EX LSD....
Not really interested in auto-xing so guess it's a good thing i didn't buy one. If i want better traction off the line i will buy the traction bars lakewood makes for the civic. Which can also be set up for auto-xing if need be to plant the tires in the corners.

RE: EX LSD....
LSD upgrade is only for the very serious. Youd have to do a tone of work to a single slammer to need one I think.
Maybe both are spinning becuase theres not a ton of extra HP going to em. I know as I did more and more the peg leg got worse and worse. I dont really remeber having a one legger stock. HMMMMMM I dunno |
RE: EX LSD....
yeah, lsd made a huge improvement, i swear by them now. most companies will give you a deal if you upgrade to an lsd tranny when buying a swap. i got the lsd tranny option for only 300 extra

RE: EX LSD....
some older front drive autos have a awkward drive axle. One side is longer than the other. Than means that one side will torq mor than the other. one side would grip sooner and your car would veer to one side or the other. but this has been fixed for newer cars
