My B7M is going in this friday..with ES bushings...we'll see how that goes.

I installed one of the ebay ones in my civic, wasn't to bad... about 20 or so minutes cuz i was too lazy to get out from under the car. It's just there til I get a better one, but it's not bad at all. And I think the only reason they are thought to kill trannies is because people try and shift and put it in gear before the clutch is all the way down, because of the short throw... thus grinding away the gears.

to put a short shifter in do i just remove the center console? That way i can remove the **** and boot?

lol wow, thread from the dead......you dont need to remove it, you dont need to take the boot off either, just unscrew the **** and pull the short shifter out the bottom.
