Default si transmisson on a d16a6

i was looking around their are 4wd jdm del sol si transmissions was thinking about putting one on but idk would i need a new rear differential? Do i need anything if i were to just take a crx sir transmission, since i drive a 1989 honda civic dx hatch

Since almost every other Civic is front wheel drive, you would have to do significant modification to add a 4wd transmission, drive shaft, differential, and rear axles. Your current trailing arms would not work, so you would need the ones from a Civic Wagovan. The gas tank would not allow for the differential, so you would have to get one that is meant for a 4wd Civic platform and modify it to fit. This requires a special setup, but it can be done.

well i want to know the price of the stuff would it be worth doing?. since i want it to be a daily driver? I am going to repost on my project thread if you want to follow the mods i will be buying in the future for the car
