I'm new here so please bare with.

Lately I've noticed a lag between the time i hit the gas and the car starting to move of about a second.

I hit hte gas, engine reves, about one second later the car starts takes off.
Is there anything I can do to fix this?

It's an auto.. they all do that. I've heard using some chips (**cough** Venom 400 **cough**) can eliminate that, but I've never chipped my car, so I don't know for sure. Either way, that hesitation is perfectly normal.

 

Tranny fluid?

 

Checked it, it's full. A friend sugested to me that maybe the tranie oil filter needs to be replaced. Does this thing have one? and if so, how bad of a job is it for me to replace it?
