synchros screwing up? how does it happen?

Default synchros screwing up? how does it happen?

hey, just a question i think my synchros is screwd in my second gear (i think thats what it is) and im going to bring it in soon because it still has warrenty.. but what would i have done to make it screw up? why would it happen?

my car is a 2000 and its stick

general use, maybe? (all things mechanical eventually break down).

or you could have been forcing the transmission into gear too hard. either way, live and learn.

The gears will grind or not engage properly. Mine on 3rd is on it's last leg.[&:]

Oh, and til you get it checked out, double clutch that beatch, it'll prolong it's life a bit.

You could drain the tranny fluid, if you see bronze mteal then your synchros are gone.
