takes long to get above 80 mph when racing
my automatc 1994 honda civic takes long to get above 80mph when i am racing is there something that i can do other than swap to stick shift because i am not ready to change it yet that will be done by the end of the year the reason i ask this is because my friend that has a 1993 civic and is auto also his hits 80 & 90 with no problem and his is bone stock but mine has a short ram intake, exhaust and port and polished

i have a sedan too the only difference i that his is a 1993 mine is 1994 and has light mods

First of all, 94s are slightly heavier than 93s. Second, are they the same style? Do you both have LX/DX or is his an EX and yours a LX/DX? EXs have slightly stronger engines (something like 127ish in the EX as opposed to the 108ish of the LX/DX). Correct me if im wrong on this, im going by memory.

forced induction or nitrous would make you get upto speed a lot faster then him... but it would take its toll on your auto trans.

mine is LX his is DX. but i am definately swaping to stick in november or december

then you might as well drive it like its an auto thats about to come out... nitrous....
