Will a Honda civic 2000 Transmission fit in 2003 civic Lx/Ex

I have a 2003 Honda civic EX which has the transmission blown out, one of my friends have a 2000 Honda civic LX with the transmission in good shape. Will it fit my car? Where do I find more information? Thank you for your help.
