B&M short shifter + Hurst shifter bushing

Last week, I finally got around to doing my first aftermarket upgrade. (aside from audio, that is...) The local performance shop is Street & Strip in Grande Prairie, AB. I ordered this: http://www.bmracing.com/s.nl/c.72308...&category=6068
and this: http://www.autopartsway.ca/acp/index...C705~PT1130007 (link just for demonstration purposes.)
Since I don't have an appropriate space for working under a car, I had the shop do the work.

Since my old knob was trash, I also got this: http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/pr...08474396672485 (in black chrome.)

Before the swap, I could wiggle the shifter side-side about 8 inches (in gear.)
the shifter bushing set really tightened it up.
I'm really enjoying the new shifter set-up, but it took a little while to get used to how low the knob is, and how short the throws are.
Now that I'm used to it, I'm really happy with my choices.

Any questions? :D

got a B&M shifter too a few weeks ago. works great. much faster shifts but for some reason gears grind every once in a while (yes the clutch is all the way in haha). other than that no complaints!

skaterx57;
When you replaced the shifter, did you also replace the shift bushings? If you didn't, perhaps that's the reason it's not shifting solid... ?
It's a very inexpensive upgrade, definitely worth it.
